Unstable Concoction

Have you ever noticed how people often refer to a certain product by a brand name and not what it is actually called?

For example,

People call it COLGATE/DARLIE instead of toothpaste.


CLOROX instead of bleach.


100 plus instead of isotonic drink.


Nescafe instead of coffee.


Maggi Mee instead of instant noodles.


Yeah, it's becoming a habit..

But hey,

Friend : Hey can I have some of your Colgate?
Lynn    : *brushing teeth with Darlie toothpaste* No. I don't have any.
Friend  : Errr... you're brushing your teeth with it.
Lynn    : Oh sorry, I thought you only wanted Colgate.
Friend : *speechless*
