Congrats to those who got it.. =)
I am happy for them..
Karyn, Aimy, Chia Sin, Denise, Wen Lee, Mei Mei and the few more others..
Anyways, Karyn, this post is for you..
Aimy, yours is next when you make the right choice.
Aimy, yours is next when you make the right choice.
(I'm tearing up like mad as I'm typing this..)
We were in the same class since standard 4, friendship clubs, Harry Potter club, Pokemon club.. I wasn't sure which one you were in..
I asked for your phone number.. to keep in my little address book.. We never did talk much..
Same class again in standard 5.. We started to get to know each other.. There were times we would talk and all.. but we weren't that close.. then Miss Ong and "bengkel kayu" came into the picture..
I would call, we would talk for hours.. We would laugh.. We would talk about nonsense, gossips, serious stuff, from nothing to everything..
"Cooking phone porridge" and burning a hole in our parent's pockets over phone bills was what we did best..
Then Abby had a slumber party in Gurney Hotel for her birthday.. We all walked to MPH to read some books.. Vayshna, Aimy,
Yee Mei, Rachel, Nicole, Abby and you.. We watched "Are you afraid of the dark?" and decided to go to bed after that.. I remember us kicking Yee Mei to sleep on the sofa and all of us cuddled together on the bed. There was an orchestra.. someone sniffed, coughed and tossed and turned..
We disturbed Yee Mei who was sleeping so soundly just because we couldn't sleep.. then we complained the room was too hot, and turned the
aircond to TURBO speed. It was FREEZING COLD, we all ran to the bathroom and slept there.. Someone was forced to turn off the aircond. We didn't get much sleep.. We enjoyed the sunrise, woke Yee Mei up with Rachel wearing her swimming costume and my great idea of her acting as a "chicken" to seduce Yee Mei.. Fun times..
Then in standard 6, we shared stuff and become closer.. maybe not as close as Jasryn but I was still glad to have a
really close friend whom I could go to and have a shoulder to cry on..
I shared with you about SOMETHING and I'm glad I did.. =)
We had a sleepover at Miss Ong's house.. and boy was it fun..
I remember you hugging your pillow and crying, deciding whether to accept Him in your life.. You did. =) and that was such a joyous thing.
We went toBatuFerringhi, we bought friendship bracelets with Abby and Ming Yen..
We went for Cell Group, we were all dressed in pyjamas, taking pictures, we played congkak,
we woke up early to enjoy the morning breeze and sunrise, we made pancakes with chocolate ice cream Abigail brought. We went to church and all of us wore skirts.. Miss Ong was sick the next day and we felt so guilty..
We were all closer.. and remember the friendship sign thingy we did? Even Abby still remembers it.. I still remember her burping all the alphabets when we couldn't sleep.
We all got 5 A's for UPSR and we were overjoyed.. then we stepped in to Form 1.. worrying about it how is it like..
There was so much drama in secondary school life.. Let's not talk about it.. but thanks for being there for me..
Remember those times when we went out with Ms Ong, Joanne, Ming Yen, and Abigail?
Those sweet memories that nobody would want to forget.. I wish we could have that again.. Those times when she would pick us up for lunch and we would have long talks, worship
and spend time with Him.. We all got so much closer..
Those times when we started talking to guys.. From little crushes to boyfriends.. Abigail was the first one with the boyfriend.. and then it was Ann Ting, Aimy and so on.. and look at you now, Karyn Chery..
Class trip to KL.. for the first time with our seniors.. We sat next to each other.. We shared room a room with Ann and Sherine.. I spilled water on Sherine's bed, we found a condom wrapper, we beh-syok-ed Joanne and the rest for a few minutes just because we wore slippers to their room and they did the same thing.. The long bus ride, the canopy walk, the rides in that shopping mall, so many other memorable things..
I got only 6 A's for PMR.. I cried buckets and was worried about not being in the same class with you guys anymore.. Lo and behold, I wasn't.. till February.. You were there for me when I had doubts and needed someone to talk to.. I disturbed you and Jasryn.. or maybe bullied would be a better word, we played a fool, you helped me in studies.. I was stressed about YE, you were stressed about studies and activities..
Then we had a class trip to Genting and KL.. We sat together.. =) again.. but we didn't share the same room.. =( We shopped in KL with Denise, Aimy and Jasryn.. You all had to tolerate my urge to buy new
shirts.. and when I was upset about not getting stuff for myself, you followed me around to shop somemore although you were tired..
Remember how the both of us suddenly had a break down in class and everyone got a shock? Haha.. You would help me no matter how busy you were with your own stuff..
Those marching and cheerleading practices.. those dances we had since form 1.. All the stuff we did, the jokes we talked about, the dance we did for Orchestra concert, thinking we did so great but we didn't.. us walking to Giant and all.. remember Alfalfa, Mushroom, Ginseng? haha.. and those friendster testimonials.. oh!! I almost forgot.. the drama competition.. XD
I was Ali and you were Lin Ann. XD
And I definitely won't forget the trips to both our houses.. and those phone calls.. =)
Remember how you and Ann would come to my house for Salted Chicken before marching practices?
I ended up doing really bad for my studies from the lack of time to study and sleep because of YE and I went to 5 Science 2 instead..
We might have disliked each other when we disagree on certain things, little arguments might have happened and all.. but we're still friends till today..
There are definitely so much MORE things that have happened that I won't be able to finish writing throughout our friendship for this 8 years that I hope will still last even though you won't be here in Penang anymore..
Ahh.. to cut it short..

In randomness, I came across this random blog, finding this random story. Your friendship story is beautiful. Treasure it. It's randomness that brings color to life. Finding friendship is random but building friendship is definitely not random.
